We all know that Halloween is some sort of tradition what most American children celebrate. I used to celebrate it until I grew out of it. As you can see, Halloween may seem to be kind of fun, and at the same time it can be controversial. I celebrated Halloween a few times before when I was a toddler and a child. We knock on doors and when opened, we say "Trick-or-Treat!" We received candy. Receiving candy is a good thing, but some things a child receives may make a parent, or guardian, or a grown-up feel uncomfortable. You can't put your trust in everyone out there. Grown-ups who guard the children must use caution and be aware of what the child may receive. When I was 15 years of age in high school in the ninth grade, I wanted to go Trick-or-Treating. My parents declined the permission for to do so. I received candy from my parents instead. So I stayed at home and ate candy and listened to music on the radio. During the day on Halloween at high school in 2002, kids were throwing eggs. During that day, some kid was passing out invitations so some Halloween party. That happened in middle school too. I wanted to attend those parties. Anyways, the next day, a boy asked me did I do Trick-or-Treating, I said, "No, I'm too old." And then he said, "You're just mad because you didn't go." It's kind of like that and since he said that, my maturity had rose. I remember at my high school on every Halloween, we were asked to remove our knapsacks and backpacks to do an examination of what could be in there and we get them back during lunch period. When I talked about the Halloween tradition with my parents, I was told that it was against my religion. As a Christian Conservative myself, Halloween is against Christianity and God Almighty (our creator). When I was talking about it with my neighbor, she said it can be celebrated in God's way. When someone puts suspicious things in the child's bag, bucket, container, whatever they may hold, the person is doing demonic and satanic activities. There could people out there who is demon-possessed. Our Lord is a jealous God and we shall NOT worship other gods or be deceived by false prophets. If any child out there going to celebrate Halloween or go Trick-or-Treating, they must be accompanied by a grown-up. I still eat candy, but that has nothing to do with Halloween. It's actually a pagan tradition anyhow. I don't celebrate Halloween anymore. I am 23 years of age. I actually been grew out of it. Well, go ahead and have fun. The children must have supervision at full contact. Be safe out there. If you're driving, don't even think of drinking while driving. DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE! Don't talk to strangers. That is my point of view and my advice to you all. Have a blessed one.
Be God's!
;-)
