Ladies and gents, here is the moment we have all been waiting for: a new "Suburban Summer" weblog series. I know, it has been a long time coming. I began composing the first chapter blog back in the summer of 2007, for that is when it all started. In the summer of 2008, I completed two segments of the blog "Suburban Summer"; one for one night, and one for the other. In the summer of 2009, it was a bit different, but I still saw some action though. In 2010, it was me and some relatives of mine went to clean up the designated area where it all took place, but nothing really happened, even though we were preparing for a conception of new summer fun activities. In 2011, it was all barren and fruitless, because nothing happened. In 2012, it was making a comeback because the people in my neighborhood wand and need some fun in their lives. Anyway, please read this latest blog which I composed as I narrate it for you.
On July 4, 2014 on Independence Day, it seemed like a typical day. I woke up in the morning and walked the roads a bit while the morning weather was cool and calm. Thank God that the weather was suitable for me. It wasn't even really hot that day. After I had done my morning exercise, I walked back home to chill. I then slipped in my new sneakers my grandmother bought for me, for she and the rest of my family had grew tired of seeing me with my black steel-toed boots. My other grandmother said they were "winter boots". Several minutes later, my aunt came by and game me an Arizona Fruit Punch beverage. Personally, I am a fan of their drinks, including SoBe. Anyway, back on topic: During the day, I was killing some time playing Solitaire on my dad's laptop. I did however do outside from time to time. A few hours later, a someone came by to visit us. I was given five dollars to spend at the corner grocery store while my dad was gone somewhere for a while. As I was walking to the store, I stopped at my friends' house because they were having a cookout. I really stopped to visit there, but I was offered something to eat to take home. I went to the store first to buy my things, and then I went back to pick my food up. I gave them thanks and I went on my way.
As I was walking home, my neighbor who loves a house away from mine on the same road, we greeted each other, and he told me that they were also having a cookout, and he welcomed me there. The road was filled with vehicles. So I immediately went home to sit my things down so I could eat them later, and then I grabbed my keys to lock up the house and went to the designated area, and then I was greeted by a nice young lady who did my plate for me. I stayed there for a while and I was socialized with friends there. From time to time, I went to check on the house to see if it was okay or not. Oh yeah, they had games there too. They asked me to play Tug-of War with them. It was a bunch of people playing. I was on one team. I played as hard as I could, but too bad that my team lost. The other team was pulling the rope, so we fell on the ground. But still, it was fun. I was watching the kids and the teenagers playing kickball. While I was there, I remained humble, for I have the Spirit of meekness in me, which is a gift from God. Later there, we had flavored Italian Ice there. I was having a load of fun there. As I said before, "I'm gonna have fun every chance I get!" When it got almost dark, I bade farewell to the people, but before that, me and the person was talking about like and Jesus Christ and what He did for us. We talked about Eternal Salvation, which is a gift from God. We CANNOT lose our salvation for any reason. When I went home, I called it a day. I then stepped outside to watch the fireworks. Later, the atmosphere was clear again, and it went back to a quiet night. I later drifted myself to sleep around midnight. I had leftovers that time, but it wasn't until the next day, I was grubbing on them after I mowed my lawn using my brother's lawnmower. Anyway, thank you for taking the time to read this blog. I wish you all Peace, Tranquility, Serenity, and Multiple Blessings from the Almighty God. Have a good one.
Be God's!
